My bichir "baby devil" is rarley eating,at first i fed him ghost shrimp which happly disapeared =] and then i fed him earth worms which he snatched like a snakehead, but now he isnt darting at the earth worms anymore =[ what should i do to encourage him?? Is the tank settings wrong? i took out all hiding spots which now there are no plants or shells for him to hide. could this have an effect??

  1. i would put back the hiding places and dont over feed your fish.

  2. Yes. Bichirs are low-light loving fish that require hiding places if they are to be healthy. Replace the hiding places and he should be fine. Polypterus palmas spp. are a rare find. Lucky you. Good luck.
