My polyps wont open?

iv'e gotten a green star polyp and for the past couple of days every polyps opened perfectly fine. but today every single poylp is staying closed and wont open. is it cause of my coral banded shrimp? he likes to go on top of it and eat waste off the polyp. im worried that its going to die cause it looked so nice in my tank

if nothing else has changed today, then the shrimp is probably irritating it a little.  My GSP didnt fully open for a week or so, then my tank temp got too high and he didnt open for a couple weeks.  They are hardy, but you want to keep your tank parameters stable to keep them happy. any time it gets more than 81 degrees in my tank, they wont open all the way.

could be because the shrimp is picking at it or your water parameters could be off, or the salinity level has changed, do a water change and check the salinity and temp and ph...see if that helps.
