My pond fish ate a toad's leg and arm off?!?!?

so me and my friend went through my garden to the backyard, when she noticed a floating frog. i ran to see, then we realized it only had one front hand and one back foot. i don't know if my fish ate it, or what? i think they did. i have 2 orange fish that look kinda like bubbles. 1 black and white big and long one, and 2-3 medium size orange ones. which ate it?!? i need help, fast please, too. thankss! (:

  1. i don't really know what to tell you. maybe the frog had a disease in the hand and foot. It is possible


  2. "Goldfish" are actually a type of Carp. Carp are omnivorous (they eat plant and animal life)  It sounds like the orange ones are your culprits.  The frog probably died before the fish began to eat it, because fish are not THAT fast, so it's not like the fish are scary predators or anything.  If I were you, I'd take the dead frog out of the pond though so that it doesn't contaminate the water and kill the fish when it starts to decompose.  

    Ok, well, after seeing that the frog is alive, I'd have to say that it is definitely not the fish who are responsible for the missing hand/foot.  If the fish started to eat at the frog, it would have just left the pond.  The frog was probably injured somewhere else, and went to the pond for refuge.
