My pool is overflowing!!?

its been pouring rain outside and my pool is filling up and almost going over! how do i get some water out? im new to owning a pool so i dont know what to do!!!

  1. There is usually a valve on the pump connected to a hose. You can turn on the pump and the hose to let water out.

    Call your pool company and ask them where the stuff is if you can't find it.


  2. Turn your pump on backwash and run it...the water will still go in your yard, but you can run a pipe to another area.

  3. is it in-ground or above ground?

    If it is above ground then simply disconnect the inlet hose going to the pump.

    if it is an in-ground pool there should be a valve that lets you backwash the system. this will cause water to flow from the outlets Thru the pump and filter and onto the ground. make sure to turn the pump off first before moving the valves.

  4. just use a submersible pump to pump out the water that you need out. :)

  5. That is easy if you need to get some water out go buy a water pump from Home Depot or your local hardware store. It's a cinch :)

  6. empty it a bit
