My postage stamp doesn't have any amount on it. I think I purchased it back when they were .39 how can I tell

If it is a "Forever Stamp" there is no need to know. It is good forever. But if you really need to know, stop the next postal worker you see or take it in to the PO. they will be able to tell you immediately.
