I think that it started after that I had installed my new scanner CanonScan LIDE 90.

  1. It could be a driver conflict.

Does the print preview look correct?  Does the printer test page print correctly?

You may want to download updated drivers from HP's website for the printer and see if that fixes the problem.

  2. the normal answer to this is a dirty scanner (in the printer) or the toner is running out. I can't see the driver doing it  but to prove it try a test print on the printer by printing a config page

  3. it has nothing to do with the scanner.

If it is only printing half a page with one of the 4 colours it is that cartridges.

However if it is printing only half a page regardless of colour your drum needs to be replaced.

Check you HP tool box see how many pages you have printed with that drum and how many are left.  If you are nearing the end replace your drum.

    It is part number Q3964A

  4. Have you tried to uninstall the HP printer drivers and then reinstalling them. Sometimes two printers to conflict with each other. reinstalling the drivers could solve the problem.
