My printer won't print?

i was helping my mom print something off mapquest and she put 2 pieces of paper in the printer and they got stuck and she just pulled them out.now the little orange light keeps flashing,and it won't print.i have paper in it.the little icon on the bottom of the computer says '1 document pending for workstation' its a hp LaserJet 1100 if that helps. thx so much.
