My psp cannot connect to internet?

My psp cannot connect to the internet. 100% no password. so I tried to connect it but it keeps sayin "a connection error has occurred. The attempt to obtain the IP adress timed out".

what will i do?

  1. what you need to do if u have a linksys, put ur router ip in ur address bar (default: 192.168.1.1) go to security i think, and go to "Mac filtering", go on ur psp, look under system information (under system settings i believe), and on the bottom you should see MAC ADDRESS in the form of xx-xx-xx-xx-xx, take that and you type it in EXACTLY! when ur done, hit "save settings" and you shouuld be done!


  2. That may be because the router is using MAC filtering as security. Yes you can see and connect to the network because there was no password however you will be denied access to it since you are not on the MAC Filter list.
