Well, you are going to have to have some money, thats just the way it is. The cheapest way to repair it is to do it yourself.

Check out http://www.squidoo.com/psp-repair They can show you how to fix anything on your psp:  firmware, the LCD screen, joystick, whatever.

If you Don't know of a good parts site then they will recommend the best one to you.

They will also teach you to downgrade, play non UMD movies, download games ect
