My pug dog is l*****g his paws and they are red? ?

Not sure why he keeps l*****g them and they are red in between his (fingers)

My Beagle is doing it as well.  Originally he was doing this when we had him on a cheaper food that was given to us by the people we got him from(not a breeder).  Many of the lower cost foods are made with corn and MNAY dogs are allergic to corn.  Look for a food that has the 1st 3 ingredients listed as some kind of meat! And NO by products and NO corn. This immediately stopped the l*****g.  Then he started back up again in the winter. The Vet told us that with it being winter, his paws are more than likely dry.  She said we can get regular old chapstick and put it on his pads.  

    Ultimatley, you nevew really know for sure until you take them to the vet and they can diagnose the problem.  Looking it up online is a great way to get some ideas and try a few different things but it should really be confirmed by your vet.
