My pulse wont go over 100 !!! WHAT ?

When I am on the treadmill, running hard, doing about 2ks a day within 20 mins, my pulse doesnt get over 100?? is there a problems? What should my pulse be?

  1. If you are ok then there is no problem. Increase the tilt degree and test again. Your heart and stamina is still not stressed.


  2. how are you testing it perhaps the machine is not giving a true reading or you might need to push yourself until  you are really out of breathe

  3. Either the machine isn't accurate or you're not pushing yourself hard enough. Sometimes mine won't go above 105 on the bike, so I have to push myself a little harder. Try the incline setting on the treadmill. You may have just gotten to a point where you're comfortable.

    Your RHR (resting heart rate) will also go down as you become more fit. Mine is about 45 when I wake up, and I know others who are much greater athletes than I - who have RHRs at around 37. Your resting heart rate is taken before you get out of bed in the morning.

    To check your pulse, put your finger on your wrist or neck where you can feel your heart beat. Count the beats for 15 seconds and multiply it by 4, or count for the full 60 seconds if you have an irregular heartbeat.
