My 14 week old dog ate a small dead frog on the road. He threw up and stool was watery. Is there anyway to settling his stomach other than going to the vet? He is still bouncy and heart rate still the same. No signs of fatigue.

  1. I think he will be ok, but you should take him to the vet to be checked out just to make sure.

  2. I would go to a vet as soon as possible. Frogs dont sit well with dogs and it could've been poisonous.

  3. vets cost an arm and a leg though. If he's still bouncy and continues to eat his regular food alright then chances are no harm done.

remember dogs have different intestinal tracts than we do... their's is a straight run through which is why they can eat carcasses and raw meat and other nasties that would kill us dead.

I wouldnt worry about it unless he starts showing real signs of illness. like major vomitting, shaking, runny stools for more than a day.

  4. i would get to the vet but in the mean time some boiled chicken and white rice will help the stomach

  5. my mom always gives are dog pepto and its helps but take him to the vet to make sure theres nothing wrong
