  1. Why cant you?

You should bring the dog to the vet, he is probably in pain.

  2. You need to take him to a vet -AT LEAST CALL A VET -  the swelling from the bee sting could close up his throat so he cannot breathe, and it can happen fast.

The vet can let you pay on time, or you can email me and I will send you information about some grant programs for emergency vet money - but you really really need to get him in for help NOW...PLEASE!

  3. try benedryl - 1/4 tsp or less and still call a vet for more information

  4. You need to check for a stinger and if you find one, scrape it out with your fingernail.  Don't squeeze it or use tweezers because that releases more venom.

Apply ice to the area - that helps with pain and swelling.  If he has ANT trouble breathing or starts drooling, he needs to get to the vet immediately (whether you really can or not!)

  5. He needs Benedryl, and possibly a steroid shot.  He really needs a vet, but if you absolutley can not go, get liquid Benedryl and he can have 1 mg per pound.  It may make him sleepy.

Do not listen to Sarah B!! The dose is not 25 mg per pound, it is 1 mg per pound.  You can give 1/2 of a 25 mg tab if he is 12 lbs.

  6. Give him 1/2 tablet of Benedryl.  The dose is 25mg/lb.  I am a CVT at a vet hospital.  It should help with the swelling.  If not call a vet, especially if his breathing gets tougher.

  7. You have to call the vet or vet ER and see what they say to do.  Why can't you get him to the vet?  Don't you have a car?  If that's the case, maybe you can borrow someone's car or have someone drive you.  I really hope it's not a money issue cause you shouldnt' have gotten a puppy if you can''t afford to vet it.  DO NOT give him anything til you talk to a vet.  No offense to anyone here but you don't know who anyone is on here.  I can say that I'm a veterinarian on here.  People can say they're anyone.  Again, no offense.

  8. i agree with Sarah:give your dog some Benadryl.

it will make your dog sleepy.

I take Benadryl, when i get insect bites.
