My puppy drying hair?

my little girl puppy who is almost 4 months old was l*****g my baby's hair dry after her bath today... is this her motherly instincts ??? i was told that puppy's start to go into heat at about 6 months so could she be practicing to me a mother or something??? i never seen a dog do this before to a baby....

When dogs go into heat, they don't necessarily display maternal instincts unless they are having a false pregnancy, which would happen after her heat. She is l*****g the fresh water off, my dogs always try to l**k my legs after i get out of the shower, they also try to l**k my cup when it perspires. they just love fresh water thats all.

that is weird but very possible... i have a female jack rusle terrier that became very protective ever since i became pregnant.. she is spayed but she did have 4 puppies before i adopted her.. everytime we see young puppies around the neighborhood she licks them and follows them around.. dogs are such a special animal.. i am sure she will be my soon to be baby girls best friend.. good luck to you and your baby!

She was probably just l*****g the water off.  If she's heading for a heat, I wouldn't allow her to close to the baby.
