We had her for about 4 months and I think that's long enough to get used to the house and the people inside it.Well, when she was younger she didn't growl at me but when I want to play with her she growls. When I put her to bed she growls and tries to bite me.I don't want to give her away, what should I do?? Anyway, shes a Beagle pup and I have never had one in my life so I don't know if this is what Beagles do in her stage of life. Thanks. :)

  1. A. You could kill it.

    B. You could train it using strict rules and orders to a repetitive scale.

    C. You could allow her to bite on a toy.

    D. You could put her with many people petting her to the point where she feels secure.

Option A would always be my best option.

  2. just give her a little time alone with toys and food.

then let only one person in the same room at a time.

dont talk for a little while then start talking to her a little bit.

after you talk for a bit then ped her a tad. and stop

then do it a little and so on.

eventually have 2 people in the room.

if that doesnt get better then call the vet for best advice.

    goodluck

  3. My family has a sheltie that use to growl and attack anyone who came into our yard.

we were told that you should keep her on a leash when people come and make her sit and let them in. and also when someone comes to the door have that person planned and give them a treat before they come and give your puppy a treat. so then she's like 'oh! someone coming to door means i get a treat or its something good'

she should get used to that and become more friendlier, my sheltie is still weary but that is a sheltie trait with un-familiar people but now she doesn't growl or attack them, which is a deffenent plus : )

  4. Beagles can be aggressive by nature.  Their cuteness can be misleading.

At this point before things get worse you may want to invest in a good training class.

You can try the gentle approach...don't yell or hit her, that will make things worse.
