Okay, I have a Yorkie-poo. Whenever he sits hes one leg in the front shakes. It's almost every time he sits. I've asked a few people and they said it's because he's little muscles are strengthening, but I've had little dogs before and never seen this happen? What could that be? Also yes we are going to the vet Wed. but I wasn't sure if it is more serious? Or if it's common in puppies? Help with your advice and please let me know what might be wrong with my little puppy. I hope he's okay! Thank you all!

  1. It's not common in little dogs. I have 4 and none of them do this.

He may have pulled a muscle or something. It's best you go to the vet to find out for sure.

  2. He's maybe in pain. Did he hurt that leg? Is he eating and drinking? He could just be growing, but it could be muscle spazzums. Still take him to the vet. I hope he gets better!

  3. My puppy did that, too, but she grew out of it. Your dog probably will too, but if not within a year, you should ask your vet again.

  4. I took a vet course in high school. He could have hurt his leg or has something wrong with his muscle, sometimes they can develop slower than there own body weight. I also had a dog and puppies jump a lot and if you haft to step up or down coming and going from your house sometimes puppies can hurt there legs by stepping wrong or tripping. My dog hurt her leg and the step was only 2 inches from the ground. I wrapped it up in a hand made splint until we could get her in the vet. By the time we got there they said that if I had not wrapped her leg she would have been worse. Good thing I took that vet course. I hope everything will be ok with your baby (puppy).

  5. I honestly don't know. My guess is also that  he's just a little puppy probably. His body might just be delaying to develop the leg muscles.

Or he might not be sitting properly.

For now it's you just wait for Wednesday to come and see what the vet has to say.

Keep a close eye on him for any other health problems.

    Hope he gets better!

  6. That is so weird! The exact same thing happened with my dog when she was a puppy. Shes a pure poodle. She would shake when she was sitting, like she had tremors or something!!

We were so scared that she had a tumour or something! we couldnt work it out. It happened more and more

We took her to a vet, to a specialist, to an MRI ( I kid you not) spending literally thousands of dollars. And they could never tell us what was wrong.

Then, when she was about a year old, she just stopped. And she's 6 now and no problems!

I really feel for you, its amazing how much you love you puppy and when its sick, your heart breaks! But maybe its a problem with the breed? I dont know, we never found out!

We think she did it on purpose to cost us money! lol

Sending positive thoughts to you and your baby!
