  1. my luca does that when he gets that area shaved, maybe the groomer cut to close. look for any cuts or maybe your pup's "area" feels naked lol

  2. Try to put a thin coat of Neosporin on it.to help it heal

  3. Probably a razor burn.No biggie..it's common.

Try to keep him from l*****g it and do what the first poster recommended UNLESS your pup still is l*****g..then he will l**k the medication.

  4. he is l*****g it because he is taking care of it and it is going to be a little irritated because it is a cut but they l**k themselves and there saliva cures them faster

  5. This is common.  It was most likely shaved too close and could possibly be clipper burn.  Keep a good eye on it and discourage l*****g (use elizabethan collar if necessary).  You can apply Gold Bond Powder to the area or some cortisone cream for the itching and rash.  I would not recommend neosporin or other antibacterial ointments. If the area becomes infected, then your dog needs to see the vet!  In the future, ask your groomer to do the sanitary area, but not too closely.  The idea is to get the longer hair that can collect f***s and urine...it is totally unnecessary to shave to the skin and can cause irritation, clipper burn and even cuts.  If "sticking p**p" is the problem, it is better to clip a wider area under the tail but still not to the skin.  Likewise for the pee pee area and private areas of unaltered dogs.
