Time exists independently of the matter.

Time always existed, including before of matter.

Matter was created in certain moment.

In that moment, the Time existed.

Eternal and indivisible.

Time is "What Passes"

Time may be God.

Time is the measurement so that people can feel comfortable knowing that they're doing something before they die. It's a comfort, time. But time is just the name they give it. "time" is really existance.
