Question:

My "Green Screen" recorded yellow, how well will it work?

When I was filming against a green screen it appeared normal but after, when I looked at the tape it was practically yellow. It was probably something to do with the lighting. Will I be able to use this footage without any problems or is it garbage?

Also, the scene is brown-orange if that will cause any problems.

  1. You need to chip your camera for the kind of lighting you are using.

If you don't have a white card, you need to buy one so you can set your white balance correctly.

If your chroma key is not the right colour, you will not be able to introduce a background.

Try again.  Take a test shot with your correct white balance and then transfer about 20 seconds of each test to your computer.  IF your monitor is calibrated and you have your camera set correctly, the chroma key will be the exact shade as the background.  Then you can start inserting your new digital background.
