a few weeks ago i posted a question concerning my rabbits behavior. he likes to use his front paws to dig into my chest or belly when hes being given much affectionate petting. im not hurting him or holding him down or doing anything to harm him in any way shape or form. i wasnt sure why he was doing this and most responses were "youre hurting him", which doesnt make a whole lot of sense considering hes very well taken care of according to the breeder. tonight he had been fine until i was laying down with him on my chest giving him gentle pats and the next thing i know he was clawing my chest with full force multiple times accompanied by grunts. i was scared to say the least. whats going on!!!???

  1. my rabbits do the same! haha. i think that they like it when they do that.

  2. go to www.rabbitsnrodents.com it has info on rabbit behavior

  3. its enjoying it, dont worry

  4. Rabbit digging is apparent in un neutered bucks and does. Get him neutered. He is hormonally frustrated. His behaviour should cease a few months after neutering.

Bucks and does usually dig to find a mate when mature and to make burrows.
