  1. Sorry to say your rabbit is going blind. This is ommon with older rabbits and it will worsin as they get older. My oldest rabbit ( 8 ) is little blind to.

  2. there are many blind rabbits that can still live a long and fulfilled life.  i would have it checked out by a vet since it is something that might be fixable... but even if not, you can still enjoy her for many years.

  3. She maybe developing cataracts and if so no you should not put her down.  Rabbits can adjust to some vision loss as long as you don't rearrange their area.  You should have her tested and checked by a good rabbit vet to make sure no underlying problem is causing the eye issue.  Rabbits can live happy lives even without their sight, they rely much more on their other senses.  My rabbit has developed the same thing in one eye and it hasn't affected him at all.

    Good luck

  4. this is a type of Cancer that is common in rabbits, hamsters, and in all mouse like pets. you help your pet see again take warm water and a cloth and stroke the eyes to get rid of the crust.

if you have not seen a vet you should and she will give you drops to cure it and you should also give it rabbit vitiates in it's water.

or his nerves are dieing in his eye and he may go blind.

  5. I would suggest taking it to the vet and getting it checked out. But it sounds like the rabbit is going blind. There is no reason to put her down because of that though. I have had a blind cat and a blind dog. Animals adjust pretty well to it as long as you don't move stuff around on them.
