Out of all the bunny litters my rabbits have had (10) I never had a bunny build two separate nests with bunnies in them in one nest box. Is this gonna be okay? Will the babies in both nests get fed? I know the first nest has at least 3 kits in it. Im not sure about the second nest. But both nest were moving alot this morning. Anyone know if there is anything I should do? I havnt inspected the nest box much because my rabbit doe has been very skittish since I bought her and I dont want her to get nervous and the kits get harmed. So... I havnt got a good look in the box to count the exact number of babies or see if they are all being fed. They are almost 2 days old and are New Zealand X Himalayan. Any help, advise, or information would be greatly appreciated.

Also, there are 6-8 babies in the back of the nest box in a nest and 3-4 babies in the front of the nest box in another nest. All are jumping beans so they seem to be alive and have energy.

  1. I've had a doe do that.  You can try to put them back into the same nest but I left mine as she wanted them.  I think it might have been a little less hectic for her.  Just make sure both sets get fed!

  2. It's totally fine!!!

  3. It is not abnormal or strange for the babies themselves to move around in the nestbox. If you move them together, they are just going to move around again.
