My rabbit is acting a bit odd?

Ive been asking alot of questions lately, im not getting answers anywhere but here and im curious.

My harlequin doe is acting very lazy lately. All she does is lay in an area where she has pushed the shavings out of. She is also scratching and nipping, more than usual. She nips and clothes and digs at clothes or blankets, sometimes even the carpet.

Is this normal?

  1. do you give it attention. buy some toys for it to chw and play with

  2. Looks like everyone has covered this pretty well.  If she may have been with a buck,  then yup, she may be pregnant,  if you can calculate when ....after what you think may be about 25 days,  give her a nest box of some kind,  wood box, kitty litter box with lid,  lined with nesting materials,  she will probably start pulling her hair out (something every mother threatens to do!)  to line the nest with..

If she's not pregnant...  bunnies do go through phases, moods, just like people do  maybe she feels hot, or just feels cranky wants a boyfriend....

She's eating, she's pooping, (is her rear clean?) she's drinking, eyes clear, doesn't fall over, not scratching herself..(mites) or maybe  yeah, just cranky..

  3. #1 She Could be Pregnant Before BUck Died.

#2 Maybe she's sad because Buck died.

#3 Ask the vet to make sure she's in a good condition.

    #4 It might be Normal.

  4. thats what mine did  days before she gave birth

  5. i would take it to the vet and tell them what it does and if it is normal

  6. She could be pregnate? Is that possible? And those are the same behaviors.

  7. its normal, once my rhinelander rabbit got to a certain age, he became a bit more destructive and nippy, but now he's behaving, but a little lazy! buy her some toys, mine has a bird toy hanging in his cage, a few puppy toys, and a bunch of toilet paper rolls, they love to chew on those.

rabbits push the bedding to the side because they usually don't like to lay in it, don't worry about that, the cage floor is much cooler and the bedding isn't.

also, she may be hot, do you have the AC on? and temp of over 85 is dangerous for rabbits.

but otherwise, don't worry, this isn't any behavior of a sick rabbit. a sick rabbit wouldn't even bother scratching or nipping or tearing carpet.

EDIT: nothing to worry about when she jumps into her cage immediately, home sweet home! all my does did that, my buck though roams around freely and never jumps out of my arms.
