all i know is there's a hurricane coming.but wy would that bother him if hes and indoor rabbit and another thing to worry about is when i take him outside sometimes my sister walks him what if he met another rabbit but i doubt it because we only take him in our front yardyeah but also he goes behind his cage and puts the fur together and lays their i havent checked to see if theirs babies but i doubt it and when i have the cage open he sits inside his cage and only goes out to add more fur and the fur thats in his cage he lays by it like hes protecting it and then when i want him to stop pulling it out he nibbles my hand like to tell me let me do this please so if u haveanything to help thx

  1. i would make sure that he is a he first of all.  and he could just be making a nest to sleep in but i would take it to the vet and make sure its a male and not a pregnant female

  2. Is there any chance your rabbit doesn't like the colour of it's hair. If it is ginger or something. I knew a girl once who was ginger and she pulled out her own hair, it really hurt and it never grew back. Try using Wella hair dye.

Either that or your rabbit is self harming, he might be depressed about something. Sort it out now before he gets suicidal. Seriously, I'm not joking. It happens.

  3. I totally agree with NiJo, the FIRST thing you need to do is make sure it's a male and not a female.  Rabbits are like hormonal teenagers, if you turn your back on them for an instant... Well, let's just say, you'll have bunnies on your hands!  A brief excursion with an "outside" rabbit is all it would have took, if your he is in fact a "she"!  Oh, there's a really easy way to determine the s*x of an adult rabbit, just pick it up and look between it's legs, if you don't see testicles, it's a girl...

  4. uhh hey, i used to have a rabbit, but he never did that...okay, with horses, when they get bored, they chew on wood or just chew on things...with dogs and cats, they chew on their paws bc they dont have enough nutrients in their bodies...in your case, i think its bc the he is a she, she is pregnant, its too cold in the room, or it just wants a place to cuddle and nest in.....so, my suggestion is to go out to a pet store and buy  something to put in his cage, like a nest, and take out its fur and then see if he stops.... i doubt its a she, and i doubt its pregnant

  5. this is your rabbit's perogative. it is his life, not yours. let twinkle be guided by his own light.

  6. Are you sure it is a boy?

It's more common for females going through a false pregnancy to do this. You can adopt him a friend but you should get the bun neutered first.

  7. Hey Maddie!

Twinkles could be a girl, going through a false pregnancy, or if you let him/ her out in the front yard, without clsoe supervision, he may have mated, and is now pregnant.

If this is the case, let her build the nest, and pull out her fur, it will grow back. If however it is a false pregnancy, she will continue to do this several weeks.

but just in case she is pregnant you should supply her with lots of food, water, and hay over the next few weeks, give her a clean cage, with fresh bedding, every couple of days.

If Twinkles is a girl, she could be protecting her nest from harm, in thsi case, you may be a danger.

I wouldn't get another rabbit untill after she either kindles, or wait 5 weeks, if there aren't babies, it was false, if there were, than you should adopt another spayed female rabbit, two females usually get along pretty well, and don't usually fight.

Good luck, email me, if you need anything!
