My raquet tension is at 70 is that too high?

I really had no clue when the guy ask me what tension....

  2. hi nick. i think every racquet is made to some certain specifications such as range of recommended tension. following this range will make the racquet perform at its intended and designed performance and feel. below the range the performance will differ (you may feel the ball is harder to control). and above the range it may be harmful to the frame structure. you may enjoy the feeling of extra tension, but it may not endure for the designed lifetime of the racquet. some may even cracks after a few strokes. so i'd suggest when it comes to tensions, just refer to recommended tension range on your racquet (they are printed on the frame usually) or just use tension between 50-60 lbs. hope it helps :)

  3. actually that depends on what racket you use ex: 95 headsize mostly 50-60 pounds... 110 headsize usually is 55-65 pounds
