  1. Really all you need to do is keep mowing them down when you mow the grass.  Raspberry plants send out runners, and you're seeing the babies coming up from the runners.

If you keep mowing them down, eventually they'll give up.  But the plants will keep sending out more runners.  That's just the nature of the plant.

You can also dig them out and give them to friends who want to establish a raspberry patch.

  2. With great difficulty is the short answer. There are probably underground runners that are shooting up through the grass. you will need to gently dig out each one. Another but riskier way would be to protect your grass with newspaper and let the sprouts poke up through a hole and then paint weed-killer onto the raspberry shoots. The risk is that it might, only might, spread back to the plant or you might get some weed-killer on your grass. Overall it depends on the size of the problem. Wow, what a bummer.

  3. Raspberries multiply through their root system.

Sounds like your going to have a bigger raspberry patch.

Actually, with regular mowing or cutting the starts down they will eventually stop growing.

  4. pray!!!
