bite mark scabs, but only a few on her back. She has no bald patches, shes heathly. But how can I treat it without medication from the vets. Is there another way to treat it? Some people say use olive oil, does that work? Is it fleas or mites?

I'm getting 2 baby rats next week.

Thanks.

  1. i don't know.....however congrats for having the two baby rat...hope they where healthy

  2. well i would really wait to get the babies cuz if its fleas or mites the babies will get it too and you want them to get the best start they can

  3. their a good chance the rat has fleas.this stuff should work good, also they do get dry skin and dandruff  so feeding him a little piece of bread soaked in olive oil once per week will probably take Care of the problem.

  4. it could possibly be fleas or mites, but it's probably just them scratching. that happens to my rats all the times, they have very sharp nails, so when they scratch themselves they might get nicked. if it keeps happening, and if the rats gets skinnier, stops eating and drinking as much, then deff take her to the vet, then it probably is fleas.
