  1. yes it could be digestion but it might have been to much carrot!            good luck 4 you and cheezit!

  2. If he is acting abnormally and seems weak then he needs to see a vet.  I doubt it is the carrot but the behaviour you are describing sounds like signs of an illness.  Is he ruffled up, not moving much, or having any discharge from his eyes or nose?

Please keep a close eye on him and take him to the vet.

  3. A carrot will not hurt your rat. You dont have rat poison or chemicals out do you?

  4. this might sound weird but get rid of his water source and replace it with Chamomile tea (sp) luke warm so its all he has to drink , it works WONDERS for rodents. My 2 gerbils got wet tail, aka the death ticket for rodents, and i brought them back to health only for them to live another 4 yrs!! This stuff is like the elixir of life for them. And a Carrot wont make him sick per say, but too much veggies or human food will, especially water content foodl ike lettuce and fruit, it gives them wet tail because of the consistency.

  5. The carrot made the p**p turn orange, but it wouldn't effect your rats personality. What do you mean acting weird? Does he have a hunched posture? Tilted head? Red discharge from eyes or nose? Labored breathing? these are all signs of different illness he could have. Email me with his exact symptoms and i can try to hep you more.

  6. The carrot made the p**p orange. If you think there is a real problem bring him to the vets.

  7. maybe stomach reactions to the carrot, feed him some dried stuff instead for awhile, see what happens, don't worry- he'll be okay.
