My rat might be ill plz answer if ur a vet?

Question

my female pet rat might be ill, i think this because sometimes her heart pounds really fast and her breathing is iratic. she jerks around a lot when she does this and it looks like a heart attack, i really want to know what is happening to my pet rat!

i got her about 4 months ago and im still trying to tame her, i think its unusual because my other pet rat does not do this

do you think its because i grab her when i pick her up instead of letting her take her time!

please!! i need answers! hopefully from a vet!

She is probably really scared right now. Females take longer to get start handling. I would take it easy if it starts put her back in the cage a leave her for a while so she can calm down. It takes patience with every animal to tame. Don't be grabby with her, it will only scare her more. Let her trust you and come to you.

hello! i am i rodentologist.... if you dont know what that is it is a person who studys rodents! they are my life passion but anyways this sounds like something in you rats cage may be exciting it maybe not in a good way either, do you have a larger animal like a dog or cat that may be freaking it out?
