  1. try changing the bedding or wood shaving or whatever you use they cld be allergic =] oh and never use sawdust allways use wood shavings it gives them respiratory problems

  2. it may be respiratory infection. take it to the vets immediately because rats are small animals which man they can go downhill very fast.

it may also be chattering but i wouldn't take a chance.

  3. Their stomach? are they gagging, wheezing, sneezing, gurgling, anything like that?

They're eating and drinking normally right? Do they have anything that looks like blood around their eyes or nose, it's called poryphin and can appear when they're sick. Is there anything else that seems askew?

I'd call the vet and see what they say if you're worried. Watch for any signs of changed behavior or weakness or not eating or drinking.

  4. Hm. This sounds like it could be a respiratory infection, which rats are quite prone to. Strange sounds are usually the result of that, although most describe the sound as sort of cooing or snuffling.. You should make them a vet appointment and have them checked out, they may need a round of antibiotics.

  5. Well they couldve choked on some food and there gasping or there breathing heavily if they seem healthy they may just be tired and breathing heavily form running on there wheel or maybe they ate their food too fast therte is endless possibilities but if there chocking give them the heimlick (sqeez on their stomachcs)
