My rca projection tv wont turn off??

i have a 52 inch projection tv. Its fairly new and i just got done watching a movie and my tv wont turn off by the remote or the front panel.. the power button light just flickers wheni push a button but doesnt respond?? I even tried a different remote? whats should i do? whats wrong with it?? can i just unplug it or it that bad for the tv? Thanks

Unplug it, it won't hurt the TV. Sounds like you've got a stuck relay/latch circuit.  It would be interesting to let it sit unplugged several minutes - then plug it back up to see if it still comes instantly back on.
