Question:

My rear passenger window won't roll up. How can I fix it?

When I try to roll it up, I can hear the motor, but the window won't roll up or down. I took off my door panel and now I am not 100 percent sure what to look for. It appears to be on the track, so what else can I look for. I am not good with cars, but I am a college student and figured I could fix it for a cheaper price and a little frustration. Any recommendations?

  1. probably a bad motor.

  2. Could be a couple of things. When you press the switch can you hear the window motor going?  If you can then it might mean that the belt that moves the window up and down has snapped or is slipping. If not then, could be electronic which means check the switch/es, window motor etc. Just pull the switch out and check wire contact points with a multimeter if you can get your hands on one.

    Good luck!
