My rear speaker for my surround sound pop and crackle when there is loud backround noise?

  1. It's either a bad connection or an out of center cone. If you can take the grill and push the cone, with two fingers, see if it rubs. If the coil is rubbing, then you couldn't fix it.

    Another thing, swap the two rear speakers, see if the one continues to distort. If the other on does now, then it's the amplifier.


  2. Yes, it can be fixed. But the money for fixing can be used to buy a new one.

  3. yes, sounds as though it is busted.You will have to just buy a new speaker
