My receiver outputs HDMI.When I hook up my PS3 through my receiver I get no sound from my rear speakers. help!

I have an Onkyo Receiver which is an HD up converter 7.1. Also, I hooked up the media center and when I play my mp3 music from the PS3, only the sub and one of the speakers are being used. I'm using HDMI cables for all connections.

Change the sound setting to Dolby PLII or All CH Stereo.  There should be a setup button on your receiver remote.

Your system must come be outputted from the TV because you cant just plug the HDMI into the system.
