About a week ago, I was taping a program on TV using the VCR because it was on late and I didnt have the time to stay up and see it. and the morning after I saw the recorded videotape perfectly all the way through. Anyway, a few days later, I turned the VCR on, put the tape in and I looked at it again and the last 15 or so minutes was static. What happened??

  1. Hi Chris,

It sounds like your tape was damaged somehow.

Try fast forwarding it to the very end then rewind it and see if it works. If not and it is the only tape doing it the tape must be bad.

If it happens on another tape you should get a head cleaning tape and run it on your VCR.

  2. sometimes at the end of a video cassette the tape is dmaged or isnt fit to record. you should try to rewind it to a place that will avoid using the last part (15 minutes or so) if possible.
