My recorder records but no sound. The input lines will not switch?

there are 2 inputs on the unit front and rear input on the magnavox cmwr20v6, when i switched from one to the other the i got the video but no sound and it wil not switch back. is there a rest switch on the unit

Try unplugging the unit for a couple minutes and see if it will reset.
