My recruiter told me, They dont accept a high school diploma from Penn Foster Online school. Is that true?

My high school diploma was earned through Penn Foster. www.pennfoster.edu. I gave it to my recruiter for the army, he had it looked into and it came back with a no go. He said the US Army will not honor this diploma because it is correspondence course based school. Now i have to go to the new Army Academy to get a GED. Is it true that they don't take this diploma or is it a ploy to get me to go to the new Academy they started?

 i think the people here saying "i am a guest"are fake.  penn foster is regionally and nationally et. accredited, they ARE regional and i know this as i did my homework  on this school first

before signing up i am so happy i did..

just a opinion who be dissing p.f. as i got a h.s.exam test over around 5 or 6 mos.learn much i did it so fast due to i was IN HIGH SCHOOL 12th grade is the only grade i miss i am so happy i knew it all just about and i love penn.

i am a REAL live person i m goin to leave my name email etc. personal info as to say YES PENN FOSTER DEGREE  as the high school diploma are real,and i have the one from paralegal etc.

i also got the high school diploma at almost 35 year old. then 2 years i COMPLETE fully my BS in such field of law and now got accepted for like 4 law schools i am SO happy for penn foster helping me get there.

after almost 25 years OUT of high school,i do know my SON whose 19 years old join the marines!

the ARMY in Pennsylvania GLADLY sign him up with his expensive hard working rewarding penn foster REAL high school diploma.no type of a G.E.D. for him.and also the navy want him too! all with P.F. high school dip.

so yes it do work,i think it all depend at the business/person discretion and HOW your asking the question to the army recruiter people etc.or a job or college,i got into a grea law school now with my paralegal experience,and 2 years(bachelor degree in legal studies)prior to law school and i am owing SO much to penn foster,for letting me now get on my way to become a great attorney!
