  1. My dad has 6 snakes and one of them is a coastal jungle python, He gets fed large rats frozen from the local pet shop every couple of weeks (if the pet shop has them) but snakes can go long periods of time without a feed aslong as you feed them big meals when you do feed them.

i suggest you change you snakes diet to large rats then he will be satisfied or even guinea pigs rabbits or anything like that.....

you can also feed him turkey legs thats what my dad does when the pet shop doesn't have any frozen (or live) rats... but not to big or it wont eat it.

anyway i hope this helps you. good luck.

  2. Sean, I hope you mean 1 rat a week, not per day!!!!

But yeah, a 3ft snake should be on rats by now, a small mouse isn't going to be nearly enough. It is fine to give him two mice in a single feed until you source rats.

  3. Depends on his age all snakes can go to 1 rat a day if they are 1 year and a half year old its all good. If it gets skinny feed him 2 times or you can just get  bigger rodents

  4. 3 feet, upgrade to rats man...

my Boa is about 3.5 feet long now, and she eats rats, anywhere from small to med. rats...

you wanna notice a small bump in the snakes stomach..

    all though..

2 normal mice every sitting is good two...you wanna encourage your boa to eat larger prey..

pretty soon you'll be feeding her rabbits, and she needs to build up to that to enjoy the kill..

    :D:D

    hope i helped.

  5. Her food should be about four times the size of her head approx I have a childrens python who's half that size and she eats full grown mice.... Rats get baby rat and maybe a medium one try him on the larger one first if he doesn't eat it go for the smaller one... they wont try to eat it if its to big.....

its better for him to have one big one then two smaller.

the reason hes very active and fast after just one is cos hes still hungry, its called cage paceing.....

I had the same thing happening just before I change to adult mice.
