My red tail boa was going after a rat and missed, now he is stuck on the carpet. what should i do?

Help him get unstuck!

Being stuck is extremely stressful for him, and too much stress can kill a reptile.

for one thing, get that rat before it digs it's ways into your walls.

cover your poor snakes head with a towel, and as geeeeently as you can, help him loose. you may have to cut the carpet loops a little, so you may want to invest in gloves against biting.

be VERRRY gentle.

nest time, feed him on a hard surface. the pressure of the contriction has been known to op out the rodent's eyeballs, and blood spews everywhere, blah blah... it's not fun to clean outta the carpet anyways.
