My refrigerator won't close tightly...Why?

I have a side by side. The freezer side shuts very tightly but the other doesn't. It seems as if it is barely closed. Food is not staying cold enough.

Try taking some bleach and water and wiping down the rubber around the door and the front of the frige that the door shuts to. Sometimes it can get dirty and this will cause it not to stick tight. If this doesn't work then you may have to replace the rubber seal. Hope this helps.

Have you checked to make sure there is nothing in the way of it closing? Sometimes if you have a pitcher in the door the handle will block it from closing completely. If nothing is stopping it then check to make sure your gasket is good and has no tears in it.
