I have a remote starter which is nice with the winter coming. However i tried to use it the other day to cool my car down, and it stopped working. It starts to turn over then fails? I'm not familiar with the and it was factory installed. Is there a battery in it somewhere that needs replacing???

  1. It sounds like a relay that's getting hot before your engine starts up.The wire's that's for it should be under the drive side of the dashboard, you should be able to see where they added the extra wire and find the relay hanging off of them. Also your battery in your hand  remote may need to be replaced.

  2. the problem should be the alternator or starter. not the device. because maybe your using the remote starter too much, this will happen. i have a 07 chevy truck and this happened after i used the remote starter to much. like every single time. i say only use it when necessary. like what you said, to warm your car.
