My renault clio 1994 1.4 rt won't start!

its putting to much fuel in the throttle body/inlet manifold and flooding it out why why is it doing this (i have changed the coolant temp sensor)

  1. I was going to say check the alternator but then i read the rest of your question,sorry don't have a clue.


  2. it could be a problem with the fuel pressure

    but more than likely the map sensor has a problem check all the vacuum pipes between the throttle body and the sensor if one is split and there is no vacuum it will think the throttle is wide open and put in too much fuel

    map sensor is normally bolted on bulkhead at rear of engine to the right of the throttle body.

  3. Its got an automatic choke in it,and its probably sticking so when you are trying to start it its flooding it.try starting it without the accelerator.
