Last night my wire snapped and I went in today to get new molds done and a new one made. How drastic do you think my teeth will change in two weeks without the retainer? It's for my top teeth and originally they weren't crooked, just an overbite. Anybody know?

  1. alot.......i think

  2. UR TEETH WONT CHANGE THAT FAST DONT WORRY IT USUALLY TAKES LONGER THAN THAT TO MOVE.SO U WOULD BE FINE =D O AND U DO NOT HAVE TO WEAR IT 24/7 USUALLY U WEAR IT ONLY AT NIGHT TRUST ME

  3. They will move a lot, that is why they tell you to wear it 24/7. Your orthodontist should have had a temporary plastic one made...

  4. Have you seen the simpsons episode where lisa needs braces??

ha ha, no you will be fine, just go as soon as you can.

  5. honestly, i dont think that your teeth will shift that much, like maybe a bit but it will be unnoticeable. just make sure you get ur retainer right away when its finished to avoid any extra risk. if there was a real problem with the shifting im pretty sure your dentist would have a temporary one made but seeing as how he didnt you really should be fine.

    hope i helped :)

  6. sorry to say, your teeth will shift.  probably won't shift that badly but stay away from hard foods for now.  i wore my retainer years after my braces came off.

    take care.
