  2. Reading under a dim light, sitting far from a tv can strain your eyes pretty quickly.  Also, it might not be your eye sight at all.  You might have an eye infection that can blurr your vision.

The reason why our eye sight begins to change is because our cornea starts to because misformed.  I've noticed that if I sleep on my stomach with my arm across my face that the pressure on my eyes caused eye sight to become little blurred the next day.

Well, I hope that helps!  Good luck!

  3. Try covering up your strong eye with an eyepatch,by doing this you force your weak eye to make up for the loss of the good eye and improve it

  4. you should get to the optician or doctor to have your eye checked without delay. Various eye conditions can cause ulceration and scarring on the cornea resulting in blurred vision, and clouding of the lens (cataracts) cause blurred vision also.

if the condition is caught early enough you can get treatment to clear the cause of the condition and further treatment to reduce scarring.

If left you could have permanently impaired vision.

  6. You are doing the right thing by setting up an eye exam to have it checked out.

This sounds like you may have developed astigmatism in your right eye.  It can happen as you get older.  My Dad developed astigmatism in one eye when he was about fifty years old, then it developed in the other eye a few years later.     It is something that can develop slowly, but you may not notice it until it causes significant changes to your vision.

I've had astigmatism in my left eye since I was a child.  Astigmatism blurs vision at all distances.  I can see nearby objects ok for the most part, but I have trouble seeing distant objects such as street signs.  I usually wear a contact lens in my left eye and wear glasses at home when needed.  The astigmatism in my left eye progressed slowly over time.  The vision in my left eye was at 20/30 until I was about 13, then it went to 20/40 and stayed there until I was in my late 20's when it went to 20/50.  I was prescribed eyeglasses to correct it since I was a teen, but not start wearing them regularly until I was almost 30 years old and it became a significant change in my vision.

Here is some info on it.
