My right knee pains...

The right side of my right knee pains as I try to straighten my leg. It isn't a sharp pain rather it's more like the pain you get from a sprained finger, but on your knee. Basically I have to keep my leg bent as I try to walk or sleep. If it persists I'm going to the docs. Any ideas of what this could be?

  1. This could be a number of things, Loose cartilage, if you go to the doctors and find that there is nothing wrong that they can find it could be an Inbalance of muscle strength. I had pains in my left knee, i went to the Docs for an X ray, but there was nothing physically wrong. I went to the physio therapist and she said it was because my knee cap twists out of place, because my outer leg muscles were stronger than my inner leg muscles, so it was pulling my knee cap out of place, which caused the pain. I had to strenghten the weaker muscles, and it has helped.

Hope that helps you a little bit. :) Good Luck
