An ex friend of mine volunteered to let me store some items at his house. We had a dispute and now he is threatening to throw it out. Can he do this??

  1. YES!!!  Are you paying him? Do you have a contract with him?  I am assuming no to the questions.  So, why do you think that he cannot do this???

I would suggest getting your stuff out of his house ASAP and finding another place to store your belongings!!!

    EDIT:

It does not matter if he volunteered or not.  What you need to do is when you know if he their, you call the police and inform them that you wish to have an officer present when you go pick up your belongings because you are afraid something may happen.  I believe if your "friend" sees a police officer present, he will not start any problems.

  2. Common sense tells me that you should be getting the items out of his space before this ends up in court. You are not paying him and you didn't mention how long the stuff had been there.
