Question:

My ring says "4 LSC 10 K." I know the 10 K means it is 10 carat gold, but what does the 4 LSC mean?

Also, my wedding band says 10K RMI. What does RMI stand for? It also says 1/5 on my engagement ring. Does that mean that it is a real diamond and not a 1/5 ct CZ?

  1. So I asked my friend the jeweler and this is what she says

They sound like industry stamps that may or may not indicate a style number for the shank manufacturer. Normally, companies will include some kind of stamp that ties production back to them.

As for the 1/5, the only thing I can think of is that it indicates the size of stone that fits in the mounting.

    I hope this was helpful!

  2. Maybe low carbon steel?

LSC and RMI may be the manufacturers.
