OK, not sure what a rogers land line is. I work for a different company and I can tell you how this might be. First are you sure it isn't working? There are laws that if a line is disconnected, the company must keep it in place for 911 purposes only. But, I am assuming you are making and getting calls. What may have happened is a simple error in records. Someone could have entered a wrong number to be disconnected (possibly disconnecting someone else) When a line is disconnected, the physical wires aren't usually removed unless they are needed for a different user.
