his batting skills have improved tremendously in recent times, with the all-rounder consistently contributing in the lower-middle order.

Looking ahead at the upcoming season, the all-rounder vows to keep performing regularly and understands that he must lead West Indies from the front.
“My role as a captain has not changed. Every player is aware of what their roles are in the team. Last year I have excelled in the role the team expects me to play, and I don't see any difference this year,” Sammy mentioned while commenting
about his personal performances.
Talking about his team’s progress in international cricket, Sammy said that the Caribbean men are moving towards the right direction and their comprehensive victory over New Zealand in all three formats earlier this year is a proof
of their improvement. The all-rounder wants to repeat the show against Bangladesh.
