  1. DONT TAKE IT OUT!!!

i have both of my rooks done and they took 2 and a half months to heal. if you take it out now you risk an infection that could result in the removing of  the piercing for good

the best thing you can do is do a salt soak on your ear at least twice a day (this will help speed up the healing process)

also if you can find it clean your rook with salene solution or lens plus solution. they are the best cleaning solution availible to prevent inffection

    good luck!

  2. I would wait about 4 months to give it sufficient time to heal. Yes, people change jewelry within a few days or weeks, but piercers don't reccomend this. It can very much delay the healing process. By 4 months, it will be more then halfway there anyway.

  3. you should wait another month, if you want to change it so bad then go back to where you got it pierced and tell them you want the jewelry changed and they'll do it for you.  It's better they do rather than you risk hurting yourself if you try to do it yourself

  4. Give it another month at least.

Don't touch it so much and it will heal faster.

  5. if you really want to change it but you are unsure about it try going in to a professional piercing parlor and have them change it out for you. its probably best if you leave it in but if you are set on changing it at least a professional can properly sterilize it for you and make sure that its done in the best way possible. good luck with that
